Mandala for Architecture, Fruits n Love

Mandalas in architecture

Mandalas in architecture
From Buddhist stupas to Muslim mosques and Christian cathedrals, the principle of a structure built around a center is a common theme in architecture. Native American teepees are conical shapes built around a pole that represents the “axis mundi” or world axis.

Buckminster Fuller expanded on the dome design with his famous geodesic dome structures. The dome structure has the highest ratio of enclosed area to external surface area, and all structural members contribute equally to the whole--a great structural representation of a mandala!

Mandala in Fruits by Alex

My mandala is about health; it is protecting a very special fruit. It is a quarter orange a quarter apple, a quarter watermelon, and a quarter plum.

The farthest layer out is fire, then banana peels, then cannons in a dark place so you can’t see where you’re going. Then there is a number of ways the ways are oceans, fire, lightning, and freezing mountains.

Then a spinning room with lights. Next a brick fort on fire, finally the fruit in the center.

My mandala is for centering yourself with love.

The first part is blue for the wind, to blow you away.

The second part is orange for fire, to burn you.

The third part is purple for coldness, to make you an icicle.

Then the pink is for the warmth of the heart.
