So . . . some bio thoughts. Growing up as a stranger in a strange land, my grandparents raised me as a Swede in the U.S. The only boy to carry our family name. I’ve been shot, run over & blown up. Comatose & Resuscitated 3 times before I was 4 . . . including seeing the Angels. Broke my leg scoring the goal last time I played soccer, giving me time to read the complete set of Encyclopaedia Britannica.
I grew up with my own soldering gun & all the parts I wanted, building a shortwave radio age 10 & talking to Japan from a cloud bounce. (as well as lot of other projects) I started working when I was 12. My first computer was an Atari 400, it only took basic . . . or game cartridges. I think it had 8 kb ram. My folks wanted me to be an electrical Engineer, I didn’t.
In Jr High I aced the aptitude tests , literally except English, but 2 yrs Latin helped me a lot with that ( the disadvantage of a trilingual home). At one time I could do 6 languages, now I wish I could do well with one J My first true love was the daughter of a French painter. In the 60’s I played folk music for Coffee Houses from here almost to California, done Custom Framing, Custom leather goods for the hippies.
I was a good Art Major before nursing, ‘The’ commercial artist for Grapevine Graphics. Painted signs for business’. Painted 50 ft. carpet rolls on the side of a building. Helped remodel a brothel. Built concrete storm cellars. Made the science cabinets & tables for the local high school. Med-Surg & GYN nurse for 25 yrs, as well as the 5 yrs nursing veterans. Mentored for counseling & to be a psychologist, while being the youngest member on their board of directors. Studied most religions from Baptist & Brahmanism to Shinto & Scientist. Calligraphy for the Book of the Dead of our local church. I have lived in a town of 200 because they counted the farms too, as well as OKC.
And of course my four marriages brought me 5 boys & 5 girls to raise, even if only 3 are biological. I tried to teach my children they can do anything. I learned sewing & crochet from my grandmother, but I started sewing when my 32 yr old was born and so many other things to numerous to mention . It has been a great life so far . . . and the best is yet to come. So you see when you say Bio, I wouldn’t know where to start.
